Here at Ty Capel we try to attract as much wildlife as possible and manage the garden to do just that.
We have seven ponds where frogs, Palmate and Smooth newts can be seen in abundance, and even a grass snake was spotted.
We have a large variety of birds that can be seen from the garden; to-date over 53 species have been spotted. We even have Osprey that nest at the reservior edge. Apart from our badgers that we feed each night we have also seen foxes, stoats, weasels, hares, rabbits and even a pine martin visit the garden.
In the guest lounge we have a camera system set up so you can enjoy watching the badgers coming to feed, or early in the year our various nest box cameras.
If you enjoy wildlife, Ty Capel's garden is worth a little exploring, and do let us know if you see something different!
